🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE 🚨

I’ve always tried to be mindful about the photos I share on my photography page, especially when it comes to children.

Going forward, I will no longer be posting identifiable photos of children, even with a signed release. No faces.

With how quickly AI is advancing and how easily images can be misused, I’d rather be overly cautious.

I’ll still photograph children at weddings, family sessions, and events, but their privacy will always come before marketing my business.

Engagement photos at the Texas Capitol? YES. 😍🤍

If you’re looking for something a little different for your engagement session or even wedding portraits, the Texas State Capitol in Austin is seriously such a gorgeous option.

The best part? It’s FREE to take photos inside! 🙌🏼 The Capitol is open 7 days a week, and most days they’re open until 8 PM, which gives us plenty of time to explore and find all the pretty little spots.

The natural light inside is beautiful, and between the grand staircases, huge windows, arches, columns, and all of that incredible architecture, you get such an elegant and timeless look without having to pay for an expensive studio or venue.

Dress it up with a gorgeous gown and suit, or keep it simple and romantic. Either way, this place photographs SO beautifully. 🤍

So many gorgeous photo spots for this beautiful pre quince session at Zilker Botanical Garden! 🌿📸 Every little corner gives you something completely different, which makes it such a fun location to shoot at.

A few things to know if you’re considering Zilker for your own session:

• Photography sessions are allowed until 3:00 PM
• There is a $50 photography fee
• You’re able to bring your own lighting
• It works beautifully for pre quince sessions, seniors, couples, maternity, families, and portraits

Definitely one of those locations where you can get a ton of variety without having to drive all over Austin. And honestly, we love a location that does some of the work for us. 😂

I keep thinking about those first wobbling days as a family. The tiny fingers that insist on wrapping around your index finger, sleepy snuggles that smell faintly of milk and warm cotton, and the way Mom and Dad cannot stop looking at their newest little love like they have discovered a whole new continent.

It felt special in a quiet way, almost ordinary, and yet not ordinary at all.

Kayla and her sweet family were so natural together, and baby slept peacefully through almost the entire session. That gave us time to catch the tiny in between breaths, the small hands, and those almost invisible sighs that later become everything.

Honestly, I took too many pictures, and I mean that in the best possible way.

Thank you, Kayla, for trusting me to capture this beautiful season for your family. Your little girl is absolutely precious, a real moppet with velvet lashes and that tiny button nose I could talk about forever.

I kept snapping, adjusting, whispering, and then forgetting about the settings because their faces spoke louder. I dropped the lens cap once and swore softly, but we got the shot. Are you smiling now?

Tiny confession, I teared up a little. Do not tell anyone.

These moments feel ordinary now, but they become priceless before you even realize how quickly they have passed. One day, you will point at a picture and remember the hum of the heater, the soft squeak of a chair, and the light on her lashes. Then you will laugh or cry, probably both.

One little wedding day tip that makes a HUGE difference in your photos, have a details box ready for me when I arrive. 🤍

This can be any small box or bag with the special items you want photographed, like:

Your invitation suite
Rings and ring boxes
Shoes
Jewelry
Perfume or cologne
Vow books
Veil or hair accessories
Cufflinks, tie, bow tie, or watch
Family heirlooms
Wax seals, ribbon, stamps, or other meaningful details

If these photos are important to you, make sure we allow about 15 to 20 minutes in your timeline for them.

Having everything together means nobody has to stop getting ready and dig through bags while we hunt down a missing earring or invitation envelope. You can simply hand me the box, and I can start creating those beautiful flat lay images that help tell the full story of your wedding day.

The tiniest details often end up being some of the sweetest things to look back on. 🤍

I had such a fun time photographing the Bastrop Rodeo on July 29, 2026!

I would love to photograph more western events, rodeos, and riders, so this was an especially fun one for me to capture. There is just something about the energy, grit, and personality of rodeo photography that I absolutely love.

There is something so special about a first look with your dad.

For a moment, he is not just seeing the bride. He is seeing his little girl, all grown up and standing in front of him in white. It is emotional, tender, and one of those moments that deserves to be remembered forever.

My own first look with my dad brought me to tears, and it is still one of the most meaningful memories from my wedding day. We never really know how quickly time will pass, which makes capturing these moments feel even more important.

The dress, the tears, the hug, the way he looks at you, those are the photographs that become priceless.
