This morning tattooed me with Henrys essence. Since I’ve been home, Henry has repaid the permanent memorialization by howling for treats and waiting for Matt to come home so he can curl up on his lap. Truly what he does best, and honestly wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’m going to NYC and would really love to photograph you and your people while I’m there! I have room for 2 more sessions (family/couples) May 15th-18th.

My approach is rooted in meeting you where you’re at - to me, a photo session is not a performance, it’s a celebration of your everyday life. I want these to feel like a regular day at home or around your neighborhood. I’ll bring all my film cameras and we’ll spend a slow morning or afternoon making photographs together.

In the last month or so I’ve had conversations with people wanting photographs, but tightening their budgets. And trust me, I get it. We’re all clutching our figurative purses & I know I’m budgeting more than ever. Yet, milestones continue to happen & small everyday joys are still worth photographing.

I’m offering a limited number of mini sessions April-June. I want them to feel as much as possible like my regular sessions, which feel uniquely tailored to each family and relaxed. I shy away from mini sessions because it’s hard to do that, but I think I came up with a solution…Mini sessions, but at your home. They will take about 25 minutes, or however long it takes for me to shoot 2 rolls of film. You will get ~15 photos. And the cost is $250. This is open to anyone living within 90 minutes of Bath, Maine. My hope is this is a low stakes, low key, accessible way to have photographs of your family that feel true to you to hold near and dear.

This sweet at-home newborn session from the summer is now on the blog, along with some SEO-worthy tips for taking photographs of your own family in the yard.

As the grit & grey of February really settles in, I need to see flowers and greenery. Looking through this gallery reminded me that spring will indeed come to Maine. Thank you Sara for inviting me into your yard to create these together!
