Charming Luxe Photography began as a side hustle and eventually became a fulltime business. I started building it while also being a wife, mother, and a 9 to 5 employee. I learned firsthand that sometimes building the life you want requires being willing to step outside of the life you were taught to pursue. For years, I balanced being a wife and mother, working full-time, commuting, managing my household, and growing my photography business during the hours I had left. What began as a creative outlet eventually became something much bigger. I realized I wasn’t simply taking pictures. I was building relationships, documenting milestones, creating experiences, and preserving pieces of people’s lives that they could never get back. After more than a decade in the traditional workforce, I eventually made the decision to step away and pursue entrepreneurship and photography full-time. That transition changed not only my career, but also the way I view success. Today, I have the opportunity to build a business around my creativity while also having more control over my time and being more present for my family. Through CharmingLuxe Photography, I photograph families, graduates, professionals, entrepreneurs, couples, maternity, newborns, weddings, events and more. One of the things I love most about photography is that I get to meet people during so many different seasons of their lives. A client may first come to me for graduation pictures, then return for engagement photos, maternity pictures, family portraits, professional headshots or another milestone. I don’t want to simply gain clients. I want to build relationships that allow me to document their stories over time. What sets my work apart is the attention I give to the entire experience. I am extremely detail oriented. I notice the small things, the stray hair, the lint on an outfit, the positioning of a hand, the background distraction, or the little detail that can make an image feel more polished. At the same time, I want people to still look like themselves. My goal is not to completely transform someone through editing. I want to capture them beautifully and intentionally while preserving who they are.
