Fair week is finally here... and if you know us, you know what that means. đ¤
One of my favorite little traditions the last few years has been grabbing Bayleigh after fair and heading out to my outdoor studio with her sheep. No pressure. No show ring. No judges. Just documenting this little piece of her world.
These sheep have been a huge part of not only Bayleigh's life, but ours too. They've been part of countless early mornings, late nights, road trips, feed runs, laughs, tears, championships, heartbreaks, and memories we'll never forget.
Some of these sheep are still here, living their best lives and soaking up all the scratches, treats, and nose kisses. Others have moved on to greener pastures. That's the hard part of this journey... but the memories never leave, and neither do these photos.
And then there's Brodie... the bestest boy. đ¤ I truly don't think there will ever be another one like him. Gentle, patient, and always taking care of his girl. He still gets all the scratches and nose kisses his heart could ever want.
And Rocket... Brodie's best buddy. He may tower over Brodie, but he's every bit as kindhearted. Just a big ol' teddy bear.
I love documenting this season of life because I know it won't last forever. Someday, these photos won't just be pictures of sheep... they'll be reminders of a chapter that shaped our family in the very best way.
Here's to another fair week. Soak up every second. Even the long, hot days. One day you'll wish you could have just one more. đ¤
