They say life comes full circle… and this weekend, mine truly did.
For as long as I can remember, my dad brought me to this festival every year to help me stay connected to my Mexican roots. I fell in love with the vibrant culture, the incredible food, the colorful traditional attire, and the performances that made me so proud of where I come from.
This year, I experienced La Guelaguetza from an entirely different perspective—not as a spectator, but as part of the photography team.
Behind every performance is a story of countless hours of practice, sacrifice, teamwork, and love. Seeing everything that happens behind the scenes gave me an even greater appreciation for the people who work tirelessly to keep our culture and traditions alive.
To every performer, volunteer, staff member, and committee member: thank you for pouring your hearts into something so meaningful. It was an honor to witness it, capture it, and be a small part of preserving these memories.
