2. The first official Father's Day was celebrated on June 19, 1910, in Spokane, Washington.

3. Father's Day was not recognized as a national holiday in the United States until 1972, when President Richard Nixon signed it into law.

4. The most popular gift for Father's Day is a tie.

5. In some countries, Father's Day is celebrated on different dates. For example, in Australia, it is celebrated on the first Sunday in September.

6. The world's oldest father is said to be Ramjit Raghav from India, who fathered his last child at the age of 96.

7. The world record for the largest gathering of fathers and their children was set in 2019 in the Philippines, with 3,222 father-child pairs in attendance.

8. Father's Day is the fourth-largest card-sending occasion in the United States, with an estimated 72 million cards exchanged each year.

Wow, what a Saturday at the 2023 Midwest Texas Longhorn Association’s Annual show! As a photographer, I had an absolute blast capturing all the stunning moments and beautiful animals. As a former showman, it was wonderful watching all of the kids working so hard to present their animals in the best way possible. It was also great watching some of the more experienced adults show some of the kids some of the tricks of the trade so to speak. All in all, it was a great day and I am looking forward to next year's event!

Do you ever find yourself in a situation where you have a fantastic client and the weather just isn't cooperating? I'm sure you have thought "if I just had a studio this wouldn't be an issue". What if I told you that I might have a solution for that? Especially when it comes to spaces for cake smashes and newborn sessions, or pretty much any child under 5. My space even works fairly well for seniors on a singular basis, it's just not ideally suited for large families.

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! 🍀🌈

Did you know that St. Patrick's Day was originally a religious holiday to celebrate the patron saint of Ireland, St. Patrick? But over time it has become a celebration of Irish culture and heritage all over the world!

Here are some fun facts about St. Patrick's Day:

🍀 The first St. Patrick's Day parade was actually held in New York City in 1762, by Irish soldiers serving in the British army.

🍀 The original color associated with St. Patrick was actually blue, not green!

🍀 The shamrock, a symbol of Ireland, is said to represent the Holy Trinity in the Christian religion.

🍀 St. Patrick's Day is celebrated on March 17th, which is the day that St. Patrick died.
