I'm the mother of two pretty amazing kids - a sassy six year old little girl with a heart of gold and a sweet and shy three year old little boy. I married my very own prince charming in 2008 and he's been the driving force in helping me pursue my dreams. I guess you could say I'm the creative type. I worked in marketing and public relations for 8 years with a Fortune 500 company right here in Baltimore, MD. I loved my job, but staying home with my babies was super important for me. Pinterest is my jam; I'm addicted to HGTV and I love decorating and crafting, too. Oh and I run my own Stella & Dot jewelry biz as well, so styling a photo shoot is so fun for me, too! I'm all about freezing time. Sure, I love a gorgeous portrait, but I love capturing real moments - the love shared by a newly engaged couple, the silliness of two siblings, the bond between mom and son. People often ask me where is my favorite place to shoot. I usually say the beach because the beach just makes me happy in general. BUT…. the city… my city… was the spot of many of my first photoshoots. I love that there’s something new around every corner. I love that every time I’m here it feels different. I love the style that we can embrace here. It’s rare that my seniors want to venture into the city for their shoots these days. But last night we spent the most gorgeous evening wandering around some of the less popular parts of the city and I felt my creative spark come back with the first click of the shutter. When I got home and saw some of the shots we got, I felt proud of the work we turned out. Thanks for the adventure, April 🏙️
