Product Photography

I speak a lot about not wanting to “pose people” as I want to capture the emotion in motion.

Now, that said, I freaking love product photography.

I enjoy setting up the props, the lights, and telling the story.

Today, I’m doing some product photography of some vintage pieces that my wife will soon be putting up for sale, and I love that I can combine my love of photography with her love of “old things”.

Posing isn’t a bad thing when it’s objects and not people.

A list of events I have not covered, that I want to be booked for:

A F1 race
A restaurant
A tennis match
A NASCAR race
A boxing match
A beauty pageant
A UFC event/BJJ meet
A fishing tournament (Big Rock is a goal for next year)

I’ve done some incredible things, and had some amazing doors opened because of what I can do with my camera.

My goal is to continue serving my clients, and also working to get some of my own goals knocked off this list during 2026 and beyond.

12U Baseball in Town of Belhaven captured by Z Photography & Media

I was booked to cover the 16U Softball team, and as I was leaving their game, I saw several athletes I'd coached competing across the street, so, of course, I grabbed a few shots.

Unfortunately, my battery was low, so these are all I managed to capture.

Fortunately, I live in Belhaven and am available to cover any sport at every level.

Shout-out to these athletes, their coaches, and all the parents who show up and support the youth of our community. Those on the field played a great game, and the stands were packed; everything was as it should be.

There is a push to get the Belhaven Bulldogs football program back in Town of Belhaven

While I was pumped to be on the ground floor of its return today, with a camp for potential players, the success or failure of this program will fall on the shoulders of the parents in the community.

Everyone can want and wish for football to return, but it won't happen until parents buy in, get their children to the camps, register with the board, and support from the stands.

Only then will we see success in the form of a sustained football program for the athletes in our town.

I'm hoping to work with the Bulldogs and Washington NC Youth Football this year via my photography to showcase all of the athletes we have and to get more eyes on the programs for more athletes to see the opportunity they have to play, what I consider to be the ultimate sport: Football.

To all of the adults who volunteered their time coaching, and all of the parents who were up early to support their kids, 🫡

Coach Bryan is the man who created "Coach Zac" in Belhaven; his name is sacred in my home, and when I told my wife and kids he was out there today, they were all pumped, knowing it meant the program is in good hands.

The day I signed for my house, we grabbed lunch; shortly after, we saw Bryan, and he said, "We need a coach for 12U football; you're it." It was as much a command as a question.

I was given the keys to the 12U football program within 12 hours of living here, and I was expected to run the team, and I didn't even know how to get home from the field; it was the perfect beginning to what has become the greatest chapter of my life.

I'd never coached football before, only played it, and I didn't know the athletes, parents, or pretty much anything, if we're being honest; Bryan answered all my questions, helped me out, and set me up for success.

He is now back on the field in Belhaven, doing what he has always done...

Create an outlet for kids to become their best selves and learn lessons that only football can teach.

There is not another football coach in this country whom I trust more than Bryan; he cares about the kids, cares about the sport, and wants to leave the program in good hands.

He wasn't out there today for himself; he was there to support what he knows is a step in the right direction, getting football back in the Town of Belhaven

I coached Zy in 12U football

What neither of us knew then was that we were in the last year of football at Belhaven.

Now, I see efforts being made to bring football back, and out there, who do I see but Mr. Zy'Mir Nixon...

Except now, he's not wearing pads; he's helping coach the next generation of athletes.

I could not be prouder of who this young man has become, and I cannot wait to see where he decides to go on his journey with football.
