Jo and I have been chatting about doing “in home” family photos with their daughter Emily and Son-in-Law Caleb for probably over a year now. Her garden was finally in full swing for the summer, so we finally spent an evening hanging out at sunset in light rain. There is something so magical about being able to photograph families (like theirs) who are able to experience immense ease and joy in each others company. Family photos don’t have to be stiff and they definitely don’t have to end just because your kids aren’t children anymore 🖤
