SPORTS PARENTS — DON’T FORGET TO SCAN YOUR QR CODE!

That little QR code you receive on picture day is important!

When you scan your child’s code, you’re registering for their photo gallery. Once their photos are ready, you’ll automatically receive an email letting you know it’s time to view and order.

If you DON’T scan the code, you won’t receive that email.

That also means you could miss:
• Free shipping windows
• Coupons or special offers
• Gallery updates and ordering reminders

Even if you’re not sure whether you’re going to order, SCAN THE CODE! There’s no commitment to purchase. It simply makes sure you know when your child’s photos are ready.

So when that QR sheet comes home from picture day… don’t toss it on the counter and forget about it. Scan it then toss it! 😉

Sneak peek of Tylin, Class of 2027!

Part one of his senior session is officially in the books! It was definitely a HOT morning, but we made the most of it, got outside, and captured some pretty awesome shots.

And we’re not done yet! Part two is still coming, so there’s plenty more to come from Tylin’s senior experience!

Well Belle Plaine… meet your Homecoming photographer!

Apparently when you double book yourself, you don’t panic… you give your photographer friend a jersey and call it a takeover. 😂

I knew the time would eventually come when I needed someone to step in for me, and I’m pretty lucky to have someone who can match my energy and jump right into the chaos!

I’ll still be doing the setup, getting everything ready and doing the editing, but Emma will be behind the camera on dance night!

So Belle Plaine… behave yourselves.

Actually, don’t. That makes for better pictures. 🤣

Sometimes the photo you see at the end is VERY different from where we started.

This was taken during Will’s senior session on the King Theatre stage. Such a cool location, but like any real location, we had a few things to work around.

The original image had the theater speakers showing, the historic curtains needed a little cleanup, and there were a few distractions that took away from the final look I had in mind.

Professional photography isn’t always one click and done.

There’s the lighting, the posing, the camera work, and then there’s everything that happens AFTER I take the photo.

I’m not just throwing a preset on an image and calling it finished. I’m looking at the little details, cleaning up distractions and finishing the image in a way that still feels natural while bringing the vision together.

Take a look at where we started vs. where we ended.

Sometimes a little Photoshop magic is exactly what an image needs.

20 kids. 3 team photos. A sibling photo. All in 20 minutes. 📸

One thing I’ve learned with sports photography is that no two teams or coaches want picture day to look exactly the same!

Some coaches want traditional team and individual photos that are organized, efficient and get everyone back to practice quickly.

Some want composites and something a little more creative.

Others want more of a media day experience where we have extra time for fun poses, personality and just letting the kids have some fun with it.

That’s what I love about what I do. I can do ALL of it.

We can knock out picture day quickly when time is tight, or we can slow it down and make it more of an experience. It really comes down to what the coaches want, how much time we have and what works best for that team.

Professional lighting, professional quality photos, an organized picture day and customer service that doesn’t end once I pack up my equipment.

Let’s talk senior photos for a minute and share some simple and beautiful photos!

A lot of what you see me share is my more creative work and I LOVE that part of what I do. One of my goals has been to create a senior experience that allows me to really use my skills, lighting and creativity while giving seniors who want something different the opportunity to create something completely unique.

But here’s something I want people to know:

You do NOT have to want a huge creative production to book with me.

You can want simple, classic senior photos and still receive the same level of quality, attention and experience.

My pricing isn’t based on how many photos I can hand you. You’re investing in the planning, professional lighting and equipment, posing and direction, experience, attention to detail and the editing that happens after your session.

Every final image is individually worked on. I’m not simply applying the same preset to an entire gallery and sending it out the door. I care just as much about the finished image as I do about creating it.

I’m also not a 100+ image photographer. I believe in quality over quantity, giving you a strong variety of intentional images instead of dozens that look nearly the same.

I may not fit every budget, and that’s okay. My goal is to provide an experience and finished product that reflects the quality of the work you see in my portfolio.

So whether you want simple and timeless or you’re ready to let me pull out all the creative stops, don’t be afraid to reach out.

Benton Middle School Cheer 💙💛📣

A little behind the scenes from picture day with these girls! So much personality, laughter, energy and Bobcat pride. They definitely made picture day a fun one!

I’m trying to bring more of these behind the scenes videos to all of my teams! Logistics and timing don’t always make it possible on every picture day, but if I’ve photographed your team and you haven’t gotten one yet, you’re on my radar. I’m working on it! 😂

And make sure you watch until the END because apparently picture day isn’t just for the cheerleaders!

We had two very special guest appearances from Mrs. Cichosky and Miss Foster, two amazing people who are such a big part of the Benton Community School District and were more than willing to join in on the fun.

I think it’s safe to say they understood the assignment. 😂
