Some recent images of local pond celebrity and master of the pond, Vinny.
No I did not name Vinny, a regular to the pond came up and told me they named this Vinny and the name has stuck. I even find myself saying "Ya, I saw Vinny over there earlier" to others who don't even know I'm talking about a bird.

Barred Owl adult looking for crawfish in the creek below them to feed the 2 hungry owlets in a nearby trees.
The other evening we were able to watch this parent bring 2 crawfish (one the caught in front of us) and the other parent bringing 2 other meals (bird and rodent) to the 2 owlets that were hanging out in the trees along the creek.

We had an interesting visitor to the pond where I have been watching the beavers at. Seeing a Bald Eagle at this pond is not uncommon but this was the first time I have seen one in a tree at the ponds bank. The group was not as happy as us humans were to see this eagle at the pond. The crows kept mobbing it and would even shake branches near the eagle in an effort to get it to leave. Eventually the crows stopped and the eagle left but I missed it because there was some good beaver viewing going on.

I was lucky enough to spend some time last week watching beavers do their beaver things. I was especially lucky to capture a sweet interaction between the baby and mother beaver on one of my outings.
It always amazing me how much wildlife is in our local parks. Once I started slowing down, kept an eye out, and stayed quiet I started seeing so much wildlife.
