On today’s endeavors, I am showing you guys the cabinet so far that I have stripped with the liquid enamel st****er along with doing the final sanding portion.
For context, it is extremely hot outside and when working with these products you need to make sure that you’re outside in a well ventilated area. I’m actually excited today because I will be painting the cabinets the color intended and reinstalling the hardware because that’s also going to get spray painted gold.
The only thing I need to go get his new cabinet screws because the ones that were installed with the cabinets were actually stripped. It took me a little bit to take off the hardware so I’m just gonna go ahead and invest about $1.50 potentially to a little package of cabinet screws so that they fit and aren’t stripped and part of it had to do with because there were so much painted inside of the cabinet screw screws that it did strip them.
Plus, I need to go get more liquid strip for the other cabinet cabinets on the other side of the bathroom.
I have to remind myself that this is a journey and it is a process in my mind. I thought I could do this all yesterday, but reality kicked immediately when I was sanding the outside of the cabinets that that was not going to actually happen so preparation is the first phase I am getting there, especially with getting the cabinets stripped of all the layers of paint.
I will also be taping the bathroom to prep it to paint the walls today because I actually can do that in fact. Anyways, drop me like in a comment if you are enjoying this fun stuff. Renewing on a budget. And feeling good about my space in my home.
