I'm a pretty bad updater, but getting through the Bachelor degree seemed pretty important, and Graduation is finally upon us and my Journey is over as I graduate the 12th and I'll finally be free!
Only to be starting a new journey with a 15 week course at KU Med.
I am looking forward to being able to do my own art when I feel like it now that this is done. Being able to work in any medium I want, with only my imagination as a guide.

That being said, my final piece of the college career, to be turned in Tuesday.

There is still a bit missing on the page that I will be updating within the next week, but the website is officially up and running.

I will try and keep the portfolio section updated with where the Universal Flaws series takes me.

I do not have an individual statement in regards to that series, but the concept is focusing on the flaws we see within ourselves. Those flaws are highlighted and covered by galaxy paintings to emphasize the fact that our body is our universe, despite the flaws we see, because our body is all we really have in the end.

Sometimes what you need to be doing hits you when you least expect it. That's exactly what happened to me, and from it my Senior Thesis was born.
Over the weekend it finally started to come to life. (Aside from a self portrait I did for the idea originally)

I figured it was time for an update.

For those of you who are here, or for anyone new browsing, I've decided to merge this page into a single page for all of my art vs just being a Photography page.
This choice came about for many reasons, the first being that I've been dealing with a lot of other art forms over the last few years other than photography, and I dislike how this page doesn't get updated unless it was photography related.
The second being that I plan on linking this page to my website that will be my online portfolio. The website is more professional, but this page will always be more free and unrestrained, which is something that viewers to my portfolio will never experience unless they come here.

Hopefully everyone will be fine with this in the long run. Just means I'll be able to upload on a more regular basis with all types or art.

Sorry to everyone who has been watching this page. I swear I am still around. I just have been busy with a bunch of different classes which haven't really involved photography. I'll be in another photo deal next semester though, so it's ok!

For now, I just have some shots from the Snow Moon/Partial Lunar Eclipse from last night. Not the best on quality, but in my defense, it's a 300mm lens and I didn't have my tripod with me, because I don't currently have a working one. (fixing that today)
Least my hands are mostly steady, but it did cause some grain on some because I couldn't really adjust the settings back more for clarity.

WIP things for class... My camera is currently out of commission, but I at least had something on the card to work with ...

Soon I'll be breaking the camera back out for school related things. I've talked the Digital Imaging professor into letting me work with IR photography since I figured it classified as digital imaging with the amount of work that needs to go into it...

I've been in a bit of a rut photography wise with my Solar Urticaria getting worse... With work I haven't had much time to think about it, nor will I have much more time during the semester. Somehow things will work out and I'll still manage to take photos, even if it means sitting in the dark on my porch like tonight.

The shot would have been a lot better if I'd had my camera when I left work. Sadly a home shot will have to do with all the trees included.

Seems we skipped Spring right into Summer only for Spring to have come back for a little bit before Summer hit once agai...

So the handmade version of the self published book for my final is now a thing. I actually just have to get bigger wire for the closure and it's all good to go!

Some measurements on prints ended up off, but that is in large part to being unable to control the margins of my non full bleed printer. I still love it though

So here is the cover as well as some examples of changes due to size and a spread of Chantilly! (sp?)
