To the dear people of Israel + the Jewish community around the world, you have my fierce support + deepest love. If you know me personally, it is no secret that October 7th rocked me. I have spent the last two years becoming a proud ally + am so grateful to Jewish family, friends + beloved clients that welcomed me into their hearts. Though we believe differently, we are bonded by our faith in God + commitment to tradition. I was honored + humbled that Harris + Aliza allowed me to capture them with the Israeli flag so I could document my own heart for such a rich country + a gorgeous people. You all are welcome + celebrated here at Jessica OH. I stand boldly with you + your families, feeling your grief as if it were my own as so many in the world turn so unfairly against you. And I celebrate tonight, having prayed with my family every night since October 7th 2023, that the cherished hostages in Gaza, dead + alive, are finally promised to come home. Whatever this next chapter brings for you, it's a story I will keep telling all the time. There is so much beauty in who you are + it has been my most extraordinary honor to be a part of your lives.

I’ve never been good at anything until I picked up a camera at 23 years old. College just wasn’t for me — I dropped out of three majors + had no direction in my life until I started Jessica OH. I LOVE this job. I love the wonderful people that it connects me with. I love the stories that unfold right in front of me. I love every time I hit that shutter, I’m creating something that has never been created before. I love that at every wedding, I’m welcomed into families + friend groups + it always feels like I’ve known these people forever. I get to capture so much truth + so much beauty. Stephen Dupont said in the documentary “Tales by Light” that “Photography is a gift. You don’t take photographs, you’re given them”.” I do not take the extraordinary humbling task of documenting a wedding day lightly. Every beautiful face, every giddy laugh, every fear about rain, every final button on the wedding gown, every ugly cry, every awkward dance move, every glorious bouquet, every cherished family moment, every nervous breath before walking down the aisle, every cake smashed into faces, every chair lifted off the dance floor, every promise made + every first moments of your forever…they are gifts that I see + gifts that I tuck inside my heart. This is why I am a wedding photographer. To all my couples past + present, thank you for these gifts.
