Hi and welcome to Amelia Jo Photo. As you could have guessed, I’m your gal, Amelia.
I’m drawn to moments that feel full of life. The laughter, the movement, the in between moments you’ll come back to again and again. The ones that hold feeling and meaning without needing to be perfect. My work is rooted in preserving those moments in a way that feels effortless, joyful, and true to you.
If you’re new here, a few things about me…
1. I’m a wife and mom to three littles. Life is full, a little chaotic, and really, really sweet. My days are often a mix of early mornings, snack requests, and constant movement, but it’s also what shapes how I see and document the fleeting seasons of life.
2. I started Amelia Jo Photo in 2019 as a creative outlet, and over time it has grown into my full time career. What began as something creative just for me has turned into a full time career.
3. I photograph weddings and portrait sessions across Minnesota and consider myself a “lifetime” photographer. I love it all- newborns, families,seniors, weddings and branding.
4. I’m an extroverted introvert who loves connecting with people but recharges at home in sweats, editing on the couch bingeing my faves on repeat.
5. Speaking of bingeing, I’m usually rewatching Grey’s Anatomy or Outlander or getting pulled into a crime documentary. Give me all the DRAMA!
6. I’m always learning, and my dad’s 80s film camera sparked a new love for slowing down and incorporating film into my work and daily life.
7. I’m drawn to pieces with character and love thrifting and antique shopping for one of a kind finds.
8. Coffee is part of my daily rhythm whether I’m editing, heading into a session, or slowing down for a minute.
9. My music taste makes zero sense and ranges from Justin Bieber to early 2000s throwbacks to whatever my kids have on repeat.
10. I own .mn in downtown Bemidji, a creative space that has been a true labor of love for me and other local creatives.
