What an incredible morning with the TO49A's! In March 2026, the T049A's were spotted with a new little calf, thought to be TO49A "Nan's" seventh calf! This new little calf might be stealing the spotlight at the moment but TO49A6 will always be one of the most beloved calves of the Salish Sea for their dramatic underbite and super feisty spirit!

It’s wild to witness a massive breach like this especially when it looks like the humpback is breaching higher than the mast of the sailboat in the distance. While a slight optical illusion, this giant truly is getting about 35 to 45 feet out of the water. Absolutely mind blowing 🤯!!

At the end of the day, when the water turns to glass and the light goes gold, orcas seem to move through another world. Every breath, every fin, every ripple feels quieter, heavier, and impossible to forget. I absolutely love moments like this!!
