No matter how long they are with us, it's NEVER long enough and it is something SUPER close to my heart to be able to create images for people of their beloved family members - - their pets!!! Dogs are my specialty, but I also have photographed cats, horses, rabbits, goats and more. I LOVE to shoot in beautiful settings in and around the Central Oregon area, but will also travel (for an extra fee) to other areas!! On Remembrance Day, 11 November, we remember all the animals who have lost their lives during conflict,and the wildlife who are still losing theirs, as humankind pushes them ever further into a corner.

In a captivating moment frozen in time, a photograph from 1925 showcases the last wild Barbary lion, also known as the Atlas lion. This majestic creature once roamed the rugged landscapes of North Africa, thriving amidst the breathtaking heights of the Atlas Mountains. However, as human activity surged, relentless overhunting and the destruction of its natural habitat took a devastating toll, leading to a drastic decline in its population. By the mid-20th century, this magnificent lion was sadly deemed extinct in the wild. The image was skillfully captured by Marcelin Flandrin during his flight along the Casablanca-Dakar air route, preserving a poignant reminder of a species that once ruled the wild.
