Nobody expected a blizzard in late June at Mt. Bachelor, especially not me, but boy did it make for a memorable day. Cold weather and blizzards seem to bring people together in a deeper and special way. Everyone gathers close, the day becomes more intimate and cozy and yet also carries this energetic rush that comes when it’s below 40 degrees outside and everyone is dressed underprepared.
I thrive on this energy and especially loved the chaotic moments when groups of us would run outside to take quick photos—being blown away by the wind, hair covered in snow, everyone embracing the unpredictability that is Central Oregon weather.
I’m currently working through editing Meghan & Cullen’s gallery, and spent some time today going through their film scans. Here are a few of my favorites- shot on a mix of 35mm film.
