This is only a glimpse of Melissa’s charitable contribution. She tells very intimate stories of the places she travels to and the people who make each place uniquely their own. Through her lens, her dedicated followers become her travel companions and are immersed in a sensory experience of culture, beauty and emotion. Spring in Yellowstone National Park.
// I booked this trip with approximately 36 hours notice. What started as a “I’ll just check flights and see” suddenly became a reality I couldn’t say no to. The only deciding factor: how quickly could send me the camera before the trip? With less than 24 hours of booking the trip, the Sigma 300-600 F/4 DG OS L Mount arrived at my house, ready to head to the GYE. Pairing this telephoto with my Leica SL3 for the first time was a challenge in itself. Testing it in the field with dynamic wildlife and a full spectrum of spring weather pushed me toward a more intentional, precise way of shooting, and I loved the process. What impressed me most was the sharpness and consistency of the lens across such varied conditions. Yellowstone isn’t just a wildlife destination, it’s an entire ecosystem in motion- one where the landscape itself and the flora and fauna all part of something symbiotic. A focal length like this lets you sit inside that knowingness and capture with a purpose. The days were long, oftentimes 15+ hours in the field, sometimes stumbling upon unexpected moments, but mostly camping out and waiting for that unforgettable encounter..

A Love Letter to Mother Earth // Earth Day, every day.

My photography is and has always been rooted in a deep respect for the only place we call home. It’s about recognizing that we are not separate from nature, but a part of it.

Through my lens, I attempt to capture moments that highlight the beauty and raw power of nature. Documenting the natural world is not only a conversation starter, but a precursor to conservation and protection, and a way to express my gratitude for the earth’s wonders, from its intricate details, all its inhabitants, to its diverse landscapes.

I hope to inspire others to pause, appreciate, and care for the planet.

Some places, no matter how many times you visit, still leave you in complete awe.
The tapestry of colours, the layers of time, landscapes so otherworldly they feel plucked from Mars, yet here beneath our feet, on Earth. Desert environments are unlike anything I’ve known, yet this place feels deeply inspiring to me. From abstract art to sweeping landscapes, to the little worlds within worlds and time well spent with the people I cherish. 🧡✨
