A few of my favorites from the series and crops of the first one for detail …which there is plenty of with a 50mp sensor. Might have to print some of these large on aluminum as they look pretty much made for it.

I updated the background images on my photography home page with photos from most recent project many of which I haven’t posted here yet. I love what this effect does to them so much that I created an extra long scroll down from the top of my page to my image gallery so visitors can enjoy without any visual obstructions. Here I sped up the transitions just a little so all the images could all fit into this video. The audio is an idea I recorded a while back with my guitar running through loads of effects. If you’re wondering… I built my site using and this is one of several effects they offer.

The details on some of the images in this series are as if not more interesting than the whole but not very visible at low resolution …so I included crops of the areas I thought were most interesting.

Alright now we’re getting to some of the more interesting shots from the series. What is it about spheres and that humans find so beautiful and mesmerizing? Does it have something to do with our eyes themselves being spheres? …or that we live on one massive sphere while another even bigger bright sphere in the sky sustains us and yet another moves the tides? Are they the most functional and beautiful shape that forces of nature could design?
