Yesterday’s wedding at Chelsea Sun Inn was just really special to me, so here’s a lil story why!! 🫶🏼

I first met Liz and Drew back in February 2024 for their snowy engagement session and immediately loved them. Like genuinely felt like I was hanging out with friends I had known forever. Then I photographed their wedding that December and had THE best time with their family and friends all day long.

And that’s where I met Liz’s sister, Hannah, and her fiancé, Patrick!

I still remember Hannah coming up to me at the end of Liz and Drew’s wedding saying she’d be reaching out once they picked a date. 🥹 And thankfully she did because getting to know her and Patrick over the last year has been such a joy!!

Their engagement session last summer was so fun, so easy, and filled with nonstop laughter (and Hannah’s contagious laugh is truly special😂). And then somehow last night was already their wedding day!

But what made yesterday feel so different was walking into a wedding day where so many people already felt familiar to me. Seeing Liz & Drew again, meeting their baby boy, Cooper!!!, seeing family members I already knew, meeting new people who instantly felt welcoming… it just didn’t feel like a job at all. It felt like I was just there to document my friend’s really, REALLY special day! 🥹

At the end of the night, I got a photo with Liz and Drew (my day 1’s!!!!), and then got a photo of me, Hannah, and Liz and it honestly hit me how crazy and meaningful it is that two sisters trusted me to capture such huge moments in their lives with the people that mean the most to them!

This “job” always has been about (and always will be) way more than photos.

And last night was one of those beautiful reminders. 🤍

Listen…as a fall-loving, sweatshirt-wearing, permanently cozy girl at heart, these hotttt summer days are not always my personal favorite. 🤣

But spring/summer sessions? I fear they eat every single time. 😭☀️

The lush greens, the golden light peeking through the trees, the later sunsets, kids getting to run around and just be themselves…there’s something about these sessions that always feels extra alive and playful to me.

And this sweet family absolutely brought that energy. 🤍 It was my first time photographing them and they showed UP. The outfits were perfection, the kids were so fun, the parents down to have a good time, and they fully leaned into all the prompts, movement, and little candid moments with me.

I know family photos can sometimes feel stressful as a parent. Wondering if your kids will cooperate, if everyone will smile, if it’ll feel chaotic. But honestly, some of my favorite galleries come from families simply showing up ready to love on each other and just letting your family be your family.

The timeless smiling photos are always important, of course. You’ll have those in every gallery I deliver. But years from now, I really think the moments that will hit the hardest are the ones that felt the most like your real life.

So incredibly thankful I got to document these cuties. 🫶🏼

Pandee, Adam & Jaxxy Poo are gettin’ married!!! 🫶🏼🥂

Literally sooooo surreal that my bestie since I was 13 is getting married to the cute sk8er boi we grew up with. So lucky to have spent the last 13 years making some of the best memories I have and beyond grateful I got to take these photos for their lil fam before they make it official tomorrow!!!!

Also when the vision comes together (amanda really outdid herself with the deets) 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼💚💚💚

Love to love you guys!! And will be crying all my professional makeup off all day and night hehehe

ALL Mother’s Day sessions have been delivered this morning!!! 💌🥰

And before the day gets away from me, I just wanted to say thank you. Truly!

To the returning families who continue trusting me year after year… and to the first-time families who stepped in front of my camera for the first time this spring… thank you for letting me document these little seasons of life for you. It never feels routine to me. Ever.

There’s so much love in these galleries. Tiny hands, belly laughs, snack breaks, cuddles, chaos, and all the in-between moments that make your family yours. Getting to freeze those memories for you is something I’ll never take for granted 🥹

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms I’m lucky enough to know and photograph each year. So, so thankful for you all! Here’s a sneak at them! 🫶🏼🥰

Personality minis really do have a piece of my heart and I love seeing kids just be kids!!! 🥹 I will be doing these this spring again, but for now, enjoy all these cuties being perfectly themselves!!! 🩵

The outdoor sessions will have all the fresh spring greenery (and hopefully some pretty blooms), and the studio sessions are cozy, neutral, and super connection-focused — lots of snuggles, soft light, and sweet moments with your babies.

Okayyyyy I can’t believe I’m saying this but MOTHER’S DAY SESSIONS ARE BACK for year THREE!!! 🥹🤍

And this April I’m doing both options again because I simply cannot choose a favorite!

🌿 Outdoor spring sessions with all the fresh greenery and fingies crossed for dreamy blooms

🤍 Indoor studio sessions with neutral couches, white walls, soft natural light, and alllll the cozy snuggly moments

The outdoor ones feel light and playful and springy.

The indoor ones feel timeless and intimate and connection focused.

Both are chef’s kiss in completely different ways. 😏
