Exciting news! I applied for another Strohl Undergraduate Research Grant and was just awarded it yesterday🎉
For this project, I will be creating a book of photographs. I'll be focusing on close up shots of plants - similar to the photographs in the Krohn Conservatory album on my page. Cannot wait to get this project started!

The Strohl Undergraduate Research Grant offers funding to encourage students to engage in independent inquiry, artistic creation, and scholarship, under faculty supervision. These grants are intended to expand the experiences, perspectives, and skills of our students through involvement in research. Travel, research supplies and other valid expenses may be reimbursed up to the limit of an individual grant.

”The objective of beyond the building was to seek out compelling compositions in New York architecture that passersby might normally miss. Throughout this project I have focused on abstract architectural photography, highlighting the intricate design and intriguing features of buildings seen through the lens. Using this form of photography, I want to connect with the viewer in a new and captivating way by capturing cropped segments or unusual viewpoints.”- Tori Hemsath
