Hello everyone! It's been a while since I've re-introduced myself on here. 👋🏻

My name is Sarah Tank and I'm the face behind Developed Memories

⭐ I started this business because I genuinely enjoy helping people preserve/access their precious family photos in the 21st century. ⭐

📸 My journey with scanning photos started when we found boxes of my Grandpa's slide collection hiding in a closet. He immediately wanted to bring out the old projector, and his face lit up seeing my young Grandma on the screen.

I got to work, and now he enjoys photos from their 70 years together on his tablet basically every day. -- Oh, I should probably also mention that Grandpa celebrated his 1⃣0⃣0⃣th birthday this April. 🥳

🔷 I'm based in the Quad Cities, so you won't be shipping your valuable memories to some warehouse in Timbuktu. (And I'm less expensive too) 💲

👫 Happy National Sibling Day! 🌊 Today social media will be overflowing with pictures of sibling love in all its forms
... some cuter than others. 😂

Look for the "What having a sibling includes" caption on each picture.

⁉️ Have a parent who is incredibly hard to find gifts for?
- Recreating some of these scenes as adults make excellent (and hilarious) gifts for parents who claim to already have enough stuff.

Photo Tip Friday - Post #6:

🤷‍♀️ We're all entering (stumbling?) into a new chapter of the COVID-19 saga. So, I decided to shake things up a little this week. This week's post is about creating joy when life feels beyond our control.

What we CAN do right now:
- candidly capture the faces of the people you love (esp kids)
- notice your daily life when the world comes to a screeching halt
- dig out your old photo albums and share about simpler times
- photograph what little things bring you joy each day

📸 If we can capture photographs now worth 1000 words, we are gifting ourselves the stories to tell later on, about when normal life was postponed and we felt speechless. 🤫

Why do I need to make digital copies?
🔥🌊 - Back up copies in case of fire, flooding, or loss
🌳- Ability to share with the younger generations
🔍- Opportunity to show to older relatives with zoomed-in features
👵👴- Opportunity to work with older relatives on labeling people
🔒 - Create a family archive!

How can I preserve my family photos?
🚫🖇 Remove any rubber bands or paperclips around photos
(they melt, disintegrate, and rust with time)

Instead:
👍 use plastic sandwich baggies to group photos
