Today is Parent Appreciation Day and I wanted to post the last picture I have of my father who passed away 21 years ago. He had this headshot taken less than a year before he died, for a local Chamber of Commerce publication showcasing their board of directors.

Sometimes we feel a headshot is a simple photo that we can take as a selfie or have a friend or coworker take for us. However to me and my family, this professional headshot of my father reminds us every day or the character, thoughtfulness and resilience that he was know for, and it was captured in his stoic expression.
