A gentle reminder that your wedding dress 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 need to be white! Or that you need only 1 dress. Or that you need to wear a dress at all! Do whatever makes you happy!! I've had many brides wear one dress for the ceremony, then change for the reception.

However, what you 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 do is give yourself enough time to find the right attire. I personally ordered my dress from an Etsy seller in another country and it didn't arrive on time for my own elopement, so I had to wear my backup dress... which turns out was way better than the Etsy dress!!

Time and options people!! I fully encourage my couples taking the time to visit in-person wedding shops, because sometimes the World Wide Web can fail us 😅, but it's also nice to support a local business 🙌

M&H, you two were an absolute dream to photograph. This is the kind of day that reminds me why I fell in love with Big Sur in the first place.

The most beautiful time with J&C! I truly don't think we could have asked for a better day. One of my favorite spots to take photos in Big Sur is down by the river. Between the gorgeous redwoods, the inviting water, and the peaceful surroundings, it's hard to imagine a better place to celebrate an elopement! It's peaceful, tucked away, and feels like stepping into another world. So grateful I got to share this little slice of paradise with these two 🤍

The scenery, the details, and these two amazing souls... I am just so happy for M&T, who really wanted some wildflowers in their elopement photos...and Big Sur delivered!!! 𝑻𝑯𝑰𝑺 𝑰𝑺𝑵'𝑻 𝒀𝑶𝑼𝑹 𝑨𝑽𝑬𝑹𝑨𝑮𝑬 𝑾𝑬𝑫𝑫𝑰𝑵𝑮 𝑫𝑨𝒀!

Are you ready for this!?!? Prepare to be amazed by this couple! This might be my most packed post yet 😍

I am so happy we had great weather, along with wildflowers, which was one of their scenery wishes. A&S really made the most of their wedding day by including SO many different activities ⬇️

•Dancing
•Popping Ch*****ne
•Playing D&D
•Playing Instruments
•Playing Capoeira

As you can see, "playing" was a huge theme here. What you love to do at home can absolutely be brought out into the elopement field (as long as it's Leave No Trace!)

Not only did they bring a guitar, but even more interestingly, they also brought an instrument called a berimbau, which is used in Capoeira! Capoeria is a martial art that blends combat, acrobatics, dance & music. I had no idea about any of this, and I love learning new things from my couples. I had the best time watching this all unfold... I mean, just look at how incredible they look doing all this! I am so glad they booked enough time, because it went by super fast. I did not want this day to end...

There is so much to say about this wonderful couple and the time we spent together for their incredible wedding day! It's always really difficult for me to select just a few photos... which is why you will see this couple many times in my future posts 😍 They had a small wedding with guests at the Big Sur Lodge, but we managed to sneak away for a bit to spend some time at Pfeiffer Beach... WAIT until you see those closer portraits. It was a dream day for everyone!!! Thank you so much M&H!! 🧡
