I’ve seen A LOT going around about the recent court ruling involving AI-generated sexual images of children, and as a photographer and a mom, I wanted to say something about it.

First, the ruling did NOT just say “AI sexual images of children are legal.” It was specifically about completely AI-generated images where no real child was used and whether someone could be charged under a specific federal law simply for privately having them. Which isn't any better of course, but it's important that we fully understand what the ruling actually was.

AI is changing SO fast, and I completely understand why parents are becoming more cautious about what pictures of their children are online.

With that being said, I do want to be transparent about my business. I will still continue to share photos of the families, that I photograph. Sharing my work is how people find me, see what I do, and how I continue to grow my little business. ❤️

BUT this has always been my policy if you do not want your photos or your child’s photos shared, JUST TELL ME! I will 100% respect that. No explanation needed. I have never had a problem with someone asking me not to post their images, and that will not change.

I know everyone has different feelings about social media and AI, and I respect whatever you decide is best for your family.

I love sharing the beautiful moments I get to capture, but your comfort comes first. ❤️
