Some weddings stick with you for reasons that go far beyond the photographs. Montana has always held a little bit of my heart. I spent time there as a kid, and returning as an adult brought back this unexpected sense of familiarity and comfort. It’s a place that reminds me of my dad and how much he loved it there.
I started every morning of the wedding weekend in a wooden Adirondack chair, overlooking Flathead lake and drinking coffee. It was quiet, grounding, and honestly one of the most refreshing ways I’ve ever started a day during a wedding weekend.
Getting to stay at the lodge alongside the couple, family, and friends was also so special. I got to know everyone beyond just what was happening in front of my camera. And I think that’s what I loved most about this weekend — being welcomed in so warmly that I felt like part of the family, while getting to document it all in a place that already meant so much to me 🤎
