There’s something incredibly emotional & beautiful about getting married in a downpour. It feels like a little glimpse into the kind of marriage you’re stepping into—one built on strength, resilience, and choosing each other no matter what the weather brings. They say rain on your wedding day is good luck, and after witnessing these two look at each other, I have no doubt they’ll be carrying that luck with them for many, many years to come. The way they look at one another makes it so obvious that they were meant to find each other. And then there was the close knit group of people who showed up to celebrate them—storms, rain, soaked clothes and all—because that’s what love does. It shows up. As their photographer, I was determined to capture those first moments of their marriage, and thanks to one very thoughtful aunt, who held my umbrella over us, we cuddled up underneath it together so I could photograph the beginning of this beautiful new chapter. Maybe it wasn’t the wedding day they planned, but somehow, it felt like the perfect one for them—a little wild, a little messy, completely unforgettable, and surrounded by so much love.

There’s something about photographing families with little ones that has always captured my heart. Maybe it’s their endless energy, the exploring and adventuring, or the beautiful, messy magic of these wild little years.

These are the days that pass in a blur—the days parents are so deeply in the thick of that it can be hard to imagine they’ll ever look back and wonder where the time went.

And that’s what I love most about what I do. I get to step into their world for a little while and capture it just as it is—the giggles, the chaos, the cuddles, the tiny hands, the big personalities, and all the in-between moments.

Because someday, they’ll look back at these photographs and remember what this season felt like. And for just a moment, I get to slow time down for them.

Enjoy these moments of one of my most favorite families... at my favorite historical home in Biloxi, Mississippi. Watching these tiny people grow has been one of my favorite things.

COLOR ME IN LOVE! ❤
The lace & intricate details of these florals were the perfect match for two souls so incredibly intertwined.
We were lucky to find a few moments earlier in the day, as a storm was pressing on our timeline... but sessions by the sea are always my favorite when the water rushes the sand before the rain. ❤

Life is beautiful when you're a lil' farm hand, but it gets a little busy. Thankfully, Tucker was able to take a few minutes out of his hectic day of bush hoggin' and running his cows around to show me his favorite John Deere tractor & celebrate his upcoming 2nd birthday. It was a HOT day so he dipped off out of his Carhartts for a late evening jump in the water after our session.

I met this beautiful family while they were vacationing here on the coast & a little session hidden off in the forest with lots of shade was just the ticket! This sweet girl has so much love for her new little brother, he is quite adored!

If ever I were granted a wish to live a wedding day over again, it would be Megan & Andrew's. The admiration and love these two have for one another is absolutely unmatched. From their thoughtfully chosen gifts to one another before the ceremony to their choreographed dances they worked for months on, Megan made sure to make everything about the day meaningful. With family here on the coast, Megan and Andrew planned their wedding festivities while living in Texas, and flew in for their wedding week along with countless other loved ones from all over the globe. The little moments of Megan-creativity made for one of my favorite days of shooting in all of twenty years. Megan and Andrew are also impressive lovers of music and art, spending many hours in class to perform a choreographed first dance. Andrew also performed a choreographed dance with his sweet mother and they flew an incredible saxophonist in to elevate their reception. However, I think the the sweetest moment was when we all watched her grandmother walk the aisle as her flower girl, an honor she had prepared for weeks to perform. ❤

They say that rain makes the marriage knot tighter... Celicia & Walter will have all the love and luck they could ever want. After the most rain we've ever seen in a week, the sun peeked out and blessed their day for a few hours and then tucked away for one more lucky rain shower throughout the evening while everyone danced the afternoon away inside. They were wed in a beautiful Catholic church in Slidell, Louisiana with a lasso unity ceremony performed by family members and bouquets held high at their return down the aisle.
So incredibly excited to see these two begin new adventures & with the most supportive families at their sides. Loved spending the day with y'all!

Today is the perfect time to adorn the fb walls with gorgeous armfuls of beautiful zinnias, pink & white cosmos blooms, and the newly engaged Madalyn & Matthew! On one of the rainiest weeks of the year, we donned our old boots and shoes and headed out in prayer that the rain that had been a constant visitor the day before would disappear long enough to create the sweetest moment. AND IT DID.
