One of my favorite things about family photo sessions is the “craziness.” Every family always apologizes for it, but that’s the beauty in photographing your family. I’m not here to photograph the perfectly stiff family. It’s usually the moments in between the prompted moments that create my favorite photos. The laughs, the tears, the parents playing around, the kids doing their own thing. No family dynamic is the same, and it’s always a game to see if we can get everyone to smile at the same time. But I always leave refreshed after hanging out with a family and getting a small glimpse into their life together.

I love couple sessions. Taking time to slow down, listen to their story, and laugh together is one of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon. Oh, and it always makes it even more special when they bring their sweet pup along for the ride. 🐶

The most special photo shoot with some of my favorite people. Riley and James got married in March 2020, after the shutdown caused them to cancel their originally planned wedding. Because of this, they never had any photos taken, and James never saw Riley in her wedding dress. Two years later, we finally took some photos to put in their empty picture frames, and James finally saw his bride in her wedding dress. 💛

Jaime and Kayla came to me asking for some “friendship” photos when Kayla came to visit from California. These two were each other’s maids of honors, but they both were unable to attend the other’s wedding. So, it was about time to capture this 11-year-old friendship! We ate ice-cream, walked around the park, and even played on the playground — it was a blast! What better way to capture two best friends? 😊

I’ve been really MIA, but I’m still here and taking photos! I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has supported me in 2021. This hobby of mine has taken up a lot of my free time this year, and it has been a blast. I have absolutely loved capturing all of the big and small moments in your lives, and I hope to continue to do so in the new year! ✨ Also, one of my goals for the new year is to share more of my work! So y’all can hold me accountable for that 😅
