The sweetest newborn (three month) session. I tell parents all the time there is no limit for newborn sessions. Some parents are ready right away and want those tiny newborn details and others prefer to settle into life as a new family before they feel “ready”. I’m willing spring to come by looking back on one of my favorite newborn sessions. Avid gardeners, Katie and Wes had a vision to capture this season among the garden they’d been nurturing. There was something about seeing both those seeds being sewn, the family and the home they were growing, that was super special. I love how every home I step in feels so “them” and this one was of course no different. Dot’s room was full of family heirlooms and stories that she no doubt has been told about the ones that love her but the mobile was a detail I especially loved capturing ✈️

Studio mini session dates for spring are coming soon but you can book a studio session any weekday morning. Sometimes studio sessions are for milestones. For polished outfits and perfectly framed portraits. And sometimes… you’re in a season that calls for something different.

A season where the best thing you can do is embrace the chaos. Where perfection feels exhausting. Where the magic is in the movement, the giggles, the wiggly bodies that just can’t sit still. And there’s beauty to be found not matter the season 🥰

In-home sessions are a great way to document the fullness of every day life as a family at your current stage. Some years it’s sweet and slow and some years it’s complete chaos.
