I am a big advocate for natural and bright-looking pictures. A big part of that is what you wear for the pictures. I always suggest:
1. try mismatching with light and neutral tones
2. Don't wear the same bottoms
3. Stay away from blacks, dark greens, maroons and dark greys
4. contrast solid colors with patterns that aren't black and white
5. always go for the jean jacket rather than jeans
6. don't wear tennis shoes and if you do, take off your shoes and roll your pants to mid thigh
7. wear something you feel comfortable in

This is Draughters. It is named after a draught beer in combinations with the University of Mary's first draft that comes out on Thursdays as a part of Prime Matters. Masters students from the Catholic Studies program and their families gather in Chesterton's to read and discuss the first draft. It has been an excellent way to build the community of the master's program, grow in virtuous friendship and enjoy the new drink selection that Chesterton's offers.

I bet you didn't know, as a part of my Catholic identity, I do not charge for photographing sacraments (with the exception of marriage). I want children to be able to look back and see the beauty in the sacraments they have received and allow the families to share that with them. These pictures were inspired by the paintings of Caravaggio. Let me know if you can pick up why!
