some days just feel really, really good to be a part of.. and I almost tear up thinking back on it. 🥹

this one was full of the kind of moments that make you want to slow down and take it all in — so much intention, so much love, and two people who were just genuinely so easy to root for.

still thinking about this beautiful day. 🤍

mini side note: we had planned for sunset photos, but they were having too much fun with their people to leave just yet. My answer when they asked if they could push it back a few minutes? no rush — I was happy to let them stay in it & wait for when they felt ready.

when we did head outside, we played around with a little flash + the last bit of natural light and pulled some of those fun sunset colors back into the sky as blue hour rolled in.

and honestly, that’s the fun part. the plan can shift, the light can change, and we’ll still make something cool together. 👌

Ella Erickson & Hank Griffin are iconic, just sayin ⛳️💍

When we first met for coffee to talk about their wedding, we started chatting about engagement session ideas. They already had their friend Monique (shout out to Monique for their stunning pics) lined up to capture some of their engagement photos — and if you don’t already follow her, go do that because she is so talented. 🤍

I reminded them that their wedding package also includes an engagement session with me, just as a little bonus gift + a chance for us to get to know each other better before the big day. So naturally, I started throwing out some of my slightly crazy bucket-list ideas to see if we could add a little something extra into the mix.

When I mentioned a golf course, they lit UP. 😂 & with her also working at Apple Creek, it ended up being the perfect fit.

So we made a night of it, checked a bucket-list concept off the list, and got to create something that felt so completely them.

What a beautiful night with two crazy beautiful souls. 🤍

the start of forever for Sydney & Austin🤍

the most magical surprise proposal in the Badlands. 🥲

the excitement I had when I heard their scheme & how they planned to get her there completely unaware… honestly? A genius master plan.

and a BIG shoutout to her sister Claire for reaching out and helping Austin coordinate this whole thing because she absolutely killed it. From bringing multiple dresses for her to choose from, having spare makeup ready for touch-ups, and thinking of nearly EVERYTHING to make sure the whole plan went perfectly. Though I love to help plan the details when asked, she had this one in the bag. So much kudos. 👌👌👌

“I’m awkward in front of the camera.”

Seriously, I hear it all the time. 😂

The good news? You don’t need to be “good” at having your picture taken. You just need to be willing to play along with me for a little bit. My most common response is.. just trust the process. 👀🤭

I’ll give you prompts, get you interacting, and before long you’re laughing + fully in the moment with your person, instead of worrying about what you’re “supposed to be doing”.

Hunter & Rachel made this one way too easy. May of ‘27 can’t come soon enough.🥹
