On This Night Series: BLUE OYSTER CULT "The Long, Post 'Imaginos' Tour" Thursday, October 31, 1991, Buffalo Rose Saloon, Golden, Colorado, USA "Another Halloween Night Show from 33 years ago with Blue Oyster Cult playing a smaller 500 capacity very historic venue, built in 1859. We used to laugh that this venue was where 'big bands from the 70's played their last harrah's'. In the 90's alone, I saw Head East, Molly Hatchet, Foghat, Outlaws, Ronnie Montrose, Black Oak Arkansas, Bo Diddley, Fabulous Thunderbirds and Pat Travers Band..."

On This Night Series: UTOPIA (Todd Rundgren, Kasim Sulton, Roger Powell, John Wilcox) "Deface The Music" Halloween Show, Friday, October 31, 1980, Capitol Theatre, Passaic, New Jersey, USA ©Bill O'Leary "Happy Halloween show 44 years ago tonight with Todd Rundgren and Utopia performing a sort of 'Beatle' tribute show, at least visually speaking. Their current album, 'Deface The Music' was recorded to pay tribute to the 'Beatles' by recording original songs that sounded like the Fab Four. A great night of music, recorded live by WNEW radio in NYC..."

Brian Johnson here in a head on image early in the performance, his third show ever with AC/DC in the US, his 19th show with the band ever. No one at this time had any idea that the album 'Back In Black' would become one of the biggest selling albums of all time as it quickly did..."

The following tour rolled thru Denver later in the spring of 1979. An incredible show, starting off with 'Anthem' then the show was paused as Geddy pleaded with the audience to back up as the stage on Alex's side, right in front of me was collapsing due to the crowd crush..."

On This Night Series: MERCYFUL FATE "Don't Break The Oath" US Tour, Sunday, October 28, 1984, Rainbow Music Hall, Denver, Colorado, USA ©Patricia Fitzgerald/Tracey Rayfield "This was what we call a game changing moment, Mercyful Fate was the heaviest band coming out of Europe at this time to ever play in Colorado. Canadian band Exciter was the opener to boot. If you thought Ratt and Dokken, who had both just come thru as well, were heavy....not even close. Photos are from a show in St. Louis two days later by photographer Patricia Fitzgerald and shared by Tracey Rayfield. Thank you..."
