How is it possible that my baby cousin is starting his senior year?! 🥹🎓

I swear I blinked, and the little boy I baked cookies and played Handy Manny with is suddenly a senior. Getting to capture his senior portraits was extra special—not just because I love what I do, but because I’ve gotten to watch this guy grow up right in front of me.

From the little boy I’ve always known to the young man he’s becoming… I couldn’t be more proud. ❤️

As we celebrate the Fourth of July, we're also celebrating the beginning of America's 250th anniversary—a milestone honoring 250 years of our nation's history, freedom, resilience, and the people who continue to shape its future.

There's something special about seeing Old Glory waving over the countryside, reminding us of the beauty of this land and the sacrifices made to preserve the liberties we cherish.

Today, I remember those who have served, honor those who continue to serve, and celebrate the communities, traditions, and landscapes that make this country feel like home.

Here's to 250 years of the American story—and to the generations still writing it.

This year, I took my own babies’ preschool and kindergarten photos ❤️📸

And honestly… I wasn’t prepared for how emotional it would feel standing behind the camera taking their photos like I’ve done 1000 times, but it feeling so different.

I spend so much of my time preserving memories for other families — freezing little smiles, tiny details, and fleeting seasons before they disappear. But this time, it was a big milestone for my babies in front of my lens.

My preschooler, who suddenly doesn’t look so little anymore.
My kindergartener, missing teeth and growing up way too fast.
The nervous smiles. The silly moments between poses. The faces I look at every single day but somehow still can’t believe are changing this quickly.

I realized while taking these photos that I wasn’t just documenting a school year… I was trying to hold onto this season of motherhood for just a little longer.

These images will forever mean more to me than perfect poses or polished smiles ever could 🥹
