a celebration that had it all. the evening kicked off with an energetic baraat, followed by a beautiful roka ceremony surrounded by family, and wrapped up with a dance floor that stayed packed until the very end. from meaningful traditions to nonstop celebrating, it was an unforgettable way to mark the beginning of their next chapter.

had a pleasure photographing hilltop hungama, georgetown university's premier south-asian dance showcase, hosted by .

closing out this collection are four amazing teams: GU Jawani, GU Guzaarish, Studio Rangila, and GW Chamak.

from bhangra to bollywood to hip-hop, plus a beautiful live singing performance, each team brought its own unique energy to the stage and made for an unforgettable showcase to represent their university.

hilltop hungama (2/3) | classical 🌾

had a pleasure photographing hilltop hungama, georgetown university's premier south-asian dance showcase, hosted by .

this collection features two classical teams: JHU Shakti and Anokha Dance Academy! JHU Shakti, hailing from John's Hopkins University, recently placed first at Origins, the national competition for collegiate classical teams. Arpan Dance Academy is a dance academy based out of Ashburn, VA.

Both teams put on an jaw-dropping, powerful performance for the audience to enjoy.

graduation season (6/6) | gw grad 🎓

to close out grad season, ended out at the nation's capital, photographing this lovely group of friends. starting off in the early morning, the jefferson memorial was the perfect backdrop for this shoot. while the wind was maybe not our best friend, the photos were able to come out beautifully.

graduation season (5/6) | umd grad 🎓

after making my rounds around southern virginia, went back up closer to home to college park, photographing the boys from terp town. being as it was a group of 11, seemed daunting at first, but the boys were great and efficient as we were able to get some great pictures from all of them. was able to experiment with low light/flash photography for the graduates as well, which came out really nice.
