Dear Day, I'm not really sure how many of you we have endured through this far but I do know that when I awake each morning, I'm grateful to take that first breath. Be it labored or with ease, I'm happy to be alive. I will embrace each new you with solid footing and a confident mind because I know that the universe aligned just so, in a way that I awoke! Each new you gives me a new me to build towards. New opportunities to explore and you'd to embrace!

Dear Day, you may not be perfect, loving, understanding of my need to move freely through the world at this very moment but you do allow me to live. I promise to make the best of it!

Every year we promise ourselves that we will do better, be better, love more, enjoy more....sometimes we do and sometimes we don't. This year I didn't do as much as I thought I would but when I look back and think about the things I did accomplish, the people I shared my time with, the moments I took to love my family, I'm not mad. I'm full. I had experiences, I accomplished things at work I never thought I could, I took time for myself, shared special time with my kids and my husband. Of course I did everything I could to ensure Holli and Wilbur had an amazing year as well. I couldn't have asked for more. This year set the bar higher for 2020, as it should have. I will never settle. There is always more to experience, to achieve, things to do. I don't have a plan for 2020 yet. There is so much up in the air, so many unknowns but I plan to enjoy the ride. "There is no path to happiness, happiness is the path!"

Before I started volunteering, I thought all Chihuahuas were the same. They aren't! Not even close. Yes they are tiny but they don't all bark a ton, they are all feisty. Some are sweet, snuggly, and some are even pretty darn quiet. I fell for dogs that would have never been on my radar before I began volunteering! Even some Chihuahuas! Poppy and Pixie are two that won my heart. These senior ladies have personality and love to give! Since I can't have them, someone else should jump on the chance to make their senior years full of love and adventure! I hear they love boating! These ladies will be up for adoption through Pet Haven, Inc. of MN

I've been thinking a lot about things that bring me joy and the more thought I put into it, the more I realize that I love photography and it brings me a great amount of joy when it is on my terms and things I want to see.

Lately I have not found joy in trying to make it into a business. I love to escape into it without pressure or worry that they won't turn out. I love trying new things, learning new techniques without worrying about judgement. So I'm shutting it down. I'm not sad about it or upset it didn't go the way I originally had planned. I tried it which took courage to put myself out there, how can I not be proud of that. Thank you for everyone that supported me along the way and cheered me on!

I am still volunteering with rescues. I will continue to post photos that I love here from adventures we go on as a family. If you want to follow along, great!

Happy holidays from A. Kendle Photography! I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season. Tis the season for resolutions! What are you resolving to do or not do in 2019? My resolutions for 2019 consist of me taking better care of myself both mentally and physically, spending more time with people I care about and spending more time with my photography (let's face it, time with my camera makes me happy!). Today I met an amazing spunky, sweet, cuddly, playful 7 year old little girl. She is goofy and sweet, basically the perfect package. She just needs to be the one and only fur child in the house. No biggie! If you are anything like me...being able to play a little dress up is sort of important and Karma was completely down for it, especially if it meant treat rewards were coming! Karma is available through Pet Haven, Inc. of MN. If you are looking for a bulldog that is past the puppy stage but still has a lot of love to give, I highly recommend you meet Karma!

This sleepy boy strolled into our lives about a month ago. It feels like he has just always been here. He brings smiles to our days and love into our hearts.

Every now and then a creature walks into your life and you fall in love. If you are lucky, this happens more than one and more than twice. Right now I'm feeling very lucky and am looking forward to an amazing Christmas season with our foster Wilbur and our resident dog Holli.
