“Why are moms so obsessed with ultrasounds?” 🤍

Because for weeks—or even months—we’re loving someone we’ve never actually seen.

We know they’re there.

We feel the kicks.

The rolls.

The hiccups.

The little stretches that somehow end up in our ribs.

We talk to them every day.

We dream about them every night.

We wonder who they’ll look like.

Whose nose they’ll have.

Whether they’ll have a full head of hair.

Whether they’ll be calm or wild.

Whether they’ll have chubby cheeks or long fingers.

But until that ultrasound…

They’re still mostly living in our imagination.

And then, for just a few precious minutes…

There they are.

A tiny profile.

A little hand.

A foot.

The curve of their nose.

Maybe they’re sucking their thumb.

Maybe they’re covering their face like they’re already camera shy.

Maybe they’re stretching, yawning, or giving you the sweetest little pout.

For a moment, the baby you’ve spent months imagining suddenly becomes just a little more real.

That’s why moms get excited.

That’s why we leave with way too many ultrasound pictures that all look completely different to everyone else. 😂

To other people, it might look like a blurry gray image.

To us?

That’s our baby.

We know exactly where their little nose is.

We can see the outline of their lips.

We stare at those pictures a hundred times afterward, somehow noticing something new every single time.

And honestly…

It’s never really about getting the “perfect” picture.

It’s about getting another chance to see the little person we’ve already fallen completely in love with.

Another chance to say…

“There you are.”

Pregnancy is such a unique kind of love because you spend months loving someone you’ve never held.

You celebrate birthdays that haven’t happened yet.

You miss someone you’ve never met.

You protect someone you’ve never seen with your own eyes.

Ultrasounds are one of the few moments where those two worlds meet.

The baby you feel…

The baby you pray for…

The baby you picture every single day…

Suddenly has a face.

Even if it’s just for a few minutes.

And maybe that’s why moms never get tired of them.

Because every ultrasound is another reminder that the little life we’ve been carrying in our hearts is getting closer to being in our arms.

And I don’t think that feeling will ever stop being magical. 🥹🤍

🍎❤️ Back-to-School Teacher Blessing ❤️🍎

As another school year begins, we want to continue a tradition that is very close to our hearts.

If you’ve been pregnant with both a boy and a girl, did you notice a difference between your pregnancies?

Were your symptoms completely different, or were they surprisingly similar? Did you have different cravings, morning sickness, energy levels, emotions, or anything else that made you think, “This has to be a boy!” or “This is definitely a girl!” before you found out ?
