Curious what are some of the things you might be avoiding right now — either in your business or in your life. For me, the thing that is top of mind is 🥁🥁🥁🥁blogging. Everyone says blogging is best for your SEO, but omgggg — I just don’t want to! 😮‍💨 It doesn’t feel good for me. I’d rather show than tell. Educational and “best of”, “top 5”, “how to” posts feel so inauthentic right now, at a time when the internet is so oversaturated with content! I wish I had suggestions for overriding this kind of mental block, but I’m in the thick of it.. so I may just accept it, sit with it, ride it out.. what are you avoiding and how are you dealing with it??

Unrelated, how good are the wildflowers in this image? I’m very ready for wildflower season.

As a portrait photographer, the people will always be at the heart of my work. But I have to admit… the location, especially when it’s a unique hotel or a truly jaw-dropping landscape, adds its own kind of magic.

I find that the atmosphere helps shape the experience, and that experience is what your memories and your photographs eventually become.

Lately I’ve been wanting to spend more time working up north. I love the drive, pulling over with my camera when something catches my eye, and stopping into small local businesses to get a feel for the area. It feels like a lot of people are craving that lately, a slower pace that lets you actually enjoy where you are.

Even the champagne tastes better somewhere new I heard 😉
