Watching seniors graduate is always special, but some are extra meaningful.

I first photographed Luke when he was just a little boy, and many of you may remember seeing his portraits hanging in the studio over the years. His mom and I have stayed in touch since they moved to Springfield, often talking about getting family portraits scheduled, but life kept getting in the way. So when she reached out about Luke's senior portraits, I was absolutely thrilled!

Luke graduated from Springfield High School in June and has already enrolled in trade school to become a lineman. It's exciting to see him pursuing a career that will make such a difference in people's lives.

One of the greatest joys of being a photographer for over two decades is having the privilege of watching children grow up through my lens. There is something especially rewarding about seeing a sweet little boy grow into a respectful, hardworking young man who is ready to take on the world.

Luke, congratulations on your graduation and on this exciting next chapter. I have no doubt you have a bright future ahead of you.

And to Luke's family, thank you for trusting me to photograph him over the years. It has truly been an honor to watch his story unfold.

It was so much fun meeting and photographing Kate! She was looking for a peaceful, serene feel for her business portraits, and I loved helping bring that vision to life.

Yes, I can do professional headshots on location, too!

While photographing Kate, I enjoyed learning more about the newer practice she is joining in Mahomet. I was especially interested in hearing about their holistic approach to mental health therapy. It felt like such a unique and much-needed way to support people on their wellness journey.

I believe these were two of my favorite images from Tessa’s album of senior portraits. I first met her when she was a newborn, and I’ve had the honor of photographing her through the years. Hard to believe this sweet girl is now past her senior year, graduating just two weeks ago and getting ready to start her next chapter as a college freshman!

Life kept her busy this past year, but we finally made her senior session happen this month — making her one of my very last Class of 2026 seniors! It’s such a reminder of how quickly these years pass and how special it is to capture these moments along the way.
