I have people messaging about fall photos so thought I'd share a fall senior session from last year. I love senior sessions of all kinds, but this session had his dog trying to steal the show. Haha! You can't look at any of these photos and not completely melt over the obvious bond this duo has! Dogs can go in the dorms, right?? 😅

It's already been a busy spring with photos! This weather is certainly keeping us all on our toes, too. The last storm took out the rest of the bluebells so we say goodbye to those for the year. I'm on a peony watch now. I spoke briefly about it last year, but the gardens at Allerton in Monticello would be sooo pretty for minis! It's about an hour drive so it's not super convenient, but who doesn't love to spend a day in the gardens??

The bluebells are ready for photos!!! The forecast has chances of rain for the next week so it may be tricky scheduling these. I’m also open to going out there a couple times if certain days work better for others. I am not available tonight or Monday night, but can likely make other evenings work. Should we give this weekend to go?? Let me know what days work for you guys and I will start stacking a couple sessions together for some minis! 15 minutes, all images included for $250 🪻

Spring has SPRUNG! It's so early this year that I thought it was an April Fool's joke. I have a lot of sessions lined up this month for seniors, families, and Baby Plan clients and I'm so excited to get back outside shooting with nature. If you're interested in some bluebell photos this year, I'm starting to look for dates with dry weather forecasted! So. Much. Rain. We should be out of that severe drought now, right?

Totally unrelated to photos, but who else is excited for morel mushroom hunting?! It's something my dad used to do and I love spending my spring thinking about him while searching the forests. He passed away in April of 2014 so it's been my favorite tirbute to him every year. A few years ago we hit the motherload of morel mushrooms and I just know he helped orchestrate that. I had all 4 kiddso with me, too and that's something that just doesn't happen anymore now that they're getting older. It's such a special memory for our family. Anyway, go get those photos scheduled if your kids are still little (or big!) because they start their own lives and adventures and it is so much harder to schedule photos without a lot of planning involved.

We've unanimously decided we need more time for the goat session so pushing to March 7! I'll be adding some spring and Easter decor because the baby goat NEEDS a little floral necklace. She's so cute already, but a goat with flowers? 😁 I have very limited spots available with her so if you're considering a session, grab it!!

Sweet baby goat, Boots, is ready for her photo debut with you! Dress up (Easter clothing) or dress down (farmer overalls), I'll have a clean space at the barn for you and Boots to share. Here is our little baby goat friend! At 10 days old, she had already doubled her birth weight so if we want photos while she’s a baby, It looks like this Saturday the 28th should have some decent temperatures?? Or possibly Friday afternoon/early evening? Ir push it out another week?? I’m only looking at booking for an hour so spots will be very limited!

Some things to consider when booking:

These will be held on a farm near Towanda/Lexington. It’s going to be dirty. I originally was thinking Easter attire but now I’m thinking flannel shirts and jeans would be the way to go! Lean into the farm look or whatever goat clothes you prefer!

If the temperatures are nice enough, we will shoot these outside of the barn, but if it’s super windy and just too cold, (it was sooooo windy and cold on Sunday) there are some places inside the barn we can shoot.

These will be 15 minutes and include the digital images for $250.

What do we think?? Friday or Saturday? Saturday would likely be better in the afternoon as well when the temperatures are a little warmer.

Ok so hear me out. Baby goat mini sessions. The little one is currently a week old and I’m told they grow fast so if this happens it would be very soon. I was hoping for warmer weather for them to make it Easter-y but this may just end up a flash “down on the farm with baby goat” mini session! 🐐 the baby is soooo cute! A cream and tan coloring. Who would do a baby goat session??

Remember when we had that one day where the snow was present and the sun was shining and the -20 degree windchills finally left? We took advantage and captured the most precious family maternity photos! There are still so many great photos I didn't share here, but the boys did phonemail out in the snow with chilly temps. Great family memories were definitely made before this family grows to a party of 5 very soon!
