The other day, a long time friend, Stetson Williams
messaged me and gave me a brilliant idea. You all know very well how I’ve been trying to get my photography out there. Well, Stetson told me to get a Print-On-Demand Calendar. So. Hi all! Today’s my birthday! As you know.

Some of you know that I like to participate in animal/wildlife photography as a hobby.

Recently, I traded in and traded up, to a mirrorless camera system. This also means that I am out of the wildlife game for a while as I need to build up my lens collection that would be suitable for capturing images of animals in the wild. So I guess in order to get that, I need support.
That’s where this comes in. I’m adding a link to “Buy Me a Coffee”.

Buy me a coffee is a way to say “Hey, I like what you’re doing, so keep doing it” and it lets you support me in little ways without being a patron. If I post photos of animals in the future, and you like it, maybe, just maybe, you might consider throwing me a little money like $5-10. The art of camouflage. Rustic Sphinx Moth Edition.

This morning, we had picture day. So, while we were walking to the cameras, the students noticed something strange; a really massive moth chilling on the classroom window sticking out like a sore thumb. To keep students from bugging it, I picked it up and placed it on a tree. That was at 8:35ish. When I went back to the spot I left it at, it was still there, so I picked it up and went to duty, letting it relax on my hand. Then when I was done with my afternoon duty, I went to work on some stuff in the classroom, at 2:20ish. When I came back out, I found it, still there. Still very obvious. So I made a decision to bring it to a more ideal resting location where it can blend in and disguise itself better… so I did. The 4th picture is its final location, and as you can see, it stands a better chance of surviving now. Good luck finding a mate, (not so) little Rustic Sphinx Moth!

It’s World Wildlife Day! From big to small! I’m so glad I started stopping and observing the wild world around me. It’s been a wonderful experience and I wouldn’t have it any other way, love finding wildlife and being able to catch candid and gorgeous moments

Bee SWARM! These Honey Bees were swarming their hive. The second swarm, the other being in a birdhouse not too far. Probably following a queen to a new hive spot.

Ended up saving this Blue Jay’s life… if you look carefully, you can see right about the beak, there’s a fishing line… this poor thing had gotten tangled on the fishing line by its wings. It was trying really hard to fly off, but kept getting tangled up more horribly, luckily, not around the neck. After about 6 minutes, I was able to free it, and it flew off. I have no way of cutting any fishing line, but if I did, I would. This should never have happened.

If you fish, please take the time to clean up after yourself and cut any tangled lines out of trees. Or at the very least, cut parts that can make it easier for entanglement of wildlife. Do something, don’t just leave it lying around.
