My heart is so full! For the 3rd year in a row, I had the privilege of capturing portraits for The Penguin Project! 🐧💛

For those who are new to my page, The Penguin Project is a beautiful theater program that pairs young artists with developmental disabilities/special needs with neurotypical peer mentors. Together, they rehearse and perform a spectacular play!

Seeing the immense growth, joy, and connection in these kids each year—both Jennifer's beautiful kiddos and all of the incredible cast members—is easily one of the highlights of my year.

(Note: I strictly respect family privacy and only post photos with full parental permission. I am so grateful to Jennifer for letting me share these sweet moments!)

I truly love being a photographer! I get to do some amazing stuff, and the best part? I get to capture moments and memories, and I get to capture the story!

Tonight I had the opportunity to capture a book signing event for a local motivational speaker and author. I'm just starting to get to know this person, but from what I can tell, she is a most amazing human.

Milk Baths in the Woods are hands-down some of my favorite sessions to shoot. They are stunning, deeply empowering, and very affordable at just $106! 🌿✨

I’d love to bring more of these to life this summer. If you have a friend who has been dreaming of a session like this but assumed it was out of reach, please share this post with them!

Your comfort is my priority: I always leave sharing permissions 100% up to the client. Many of the milk bath sessions I’ve shot in the past will never be posted online, and I respect that completely. I’m just honored to be trusted with these vulnerable, beautiful moments.

Sometimes a Senior Session is just that, a Senior Session, and that's ok! I love how the young adults go along with the session because they understand and know how important it is to us Mamas.

Recently, I've been hired to capture some business networking events. I find these fun, fascinating, and frightening.

Fun, because everyone seems to be genuinely having a wonderful time, and I get to capture those moments along with still getting creative.

Fascinating, because I never had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful and successful people before!

Frightening, because I am very much an introvert; being around so many people I do not know is intimidating and definitely pushes me outside my comfort zone.

I am grateful for the opportunities and connections!

Saturday, June 13th, marked my 5th Annual Free Mini Sessions honoring my high school art teacher, Mr. Worthing.

​He was someone who always saw the light through the darkness of my depression, never giving up on me when I needed it most. For 24 years, I sent him a Father’s Day card to thank him. When he passed away in 2021, I wanted to find a way to keep that gratitude alive. These free mini sessions are my way of continuing his legacy and giving back, just as he did for over 30 years as a teacher.

​A heartfelt thank you to all the families who came out to help me honor such an incredible man.

I first met this Senior last year at a wedding I photographed. Her mama reached out and asked me if she could book her session. This is a unique Senior session as she graduates next year, and it was an hour or so drive to her location. We fought wind and sun, but in the end, we were able to capture her! She also included her kitty and her uncle, who passed away.

My job is to capture the moments and memories, any way the client wants!
