08.30.23 Super Blue Moon rising over 🌕🌕
Many people wonder why it's called a super blue moon and assume the moon will turn a blue color when, in fact, it's a yellow/orange color when it rises.

The Super Blue Moon is 14% bigger than it's usual size and is called a Super Blue Moon because you'll see the full moon twice in a single month which is why you hear the phrase "Once in a blue moon"

This phenomenon will only happen again in 2037! 14 years from now!🤯😮
That means I'll me 44 years old and hopefully, still doing my thing capturing pictures like this🤪

I have never seen this many lightning bolts from 1 single storm in my entire life!

On Saturday 08.26.23 I noticed purple and blue flashes coming from outside. When I went outside there was a constant roar or thunder and crazy lightning passing over us. A few moments later we had a dump of rain while the sky continued to light up from the lightning. After a while the rain calmed down and I rushed to the lookout overlooking Downtown Boise where the lightning show continued to amaze me!😍

The first 3 photos are hands down some of THE BEST night sky photos I've ever captured! ☄️🌌😍

After spending many hours editing, I went through each batch of photos, picking out the ones with meteorites (and some other sky traffic).
After doing a basic edit in Lightroom, I opened the photos as layers in Photoshop. One by one, I masked in each meteorite.
I then went back to each mask and used color range (selecting the highlight option) and then maximizing the pixels by 2 to make the meteorites pop. Then, finishing off with some final color and exposure adjustments before exporting the image.
The last image was a bit of a failed attempt as I didn't change my ISO and shutter speed back to the right settings before hitting start on my timelapse 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have never seen this many stars in the sky before. It's quite crazy how much light pollution can affect your view of the night sky. And to think this appears every single night😭

The Sawtooth Mountains didn't get it's name from nowhere. These beautiful peaks in Stanley, Idaho truly looks like the jaggered tip of a saw😊

I am finally going through the photos I took on my trip to Stanley, and these are just a few photos I've edited.

Taken on the Sigma 100-400mm and Sony A7iv, I was able to capture different peaks around Stanley. They seem so far away when you look at them with the naked eye, but seeing it from this perspective truly brings a unique composition. It's hard to fathom how big these mountains really are from a photo vs seeing it in real life.

The amount of detail and sharpness from this lens blows my mind everytime!
Of course posting it on Instagram will compress the file so you won't be able to see the true quality of these photos, but when I zoom into the photo in Lightroom my mind is blown🤯

Today, I have officially crossed over to the 30s club! 😎

I will say my 20s have definitely taken me places I never thought I would have ever gone before.

I have experienced so many things (the good, the bad and the ugly), made sooo many mistakes, pursued my love for photography and continue to grow and learn in this field, made friends from different walks of life, the list goes on and on.

We all try to figure our lives out in our 20s, get pushed into what society wants us to do which is get married have children, have the picket white fence etc etc (nothing wrong with that if you choose to follow the tradition route) but honestly this is where we are still tryna figure out who we are by making a lot of mistakes, learning from those mistakes and growing up.
I still have a lot to learn in my 30s and I look forward to this new chapter😊

That being said, I wanted to try something a little different and do a self-portrait light painting photo.
We drove to Lucky Peak at around 12pm last night where my trusty partner helped paint the light behind me, getting a bunch of different photos, running back and forth from the frame and making small adjustments. I then got a few photos of the milkyway so I could mask it in some of the shots and finished the edit using generative fill in photoshop to create the flames and other objects😜

This is my first time ever doing this and I must say it was a lot of fun! It's definitely not perfect but I am going to keep experimenting with this to create some awesome art😊

Continuing my Central Park collection but this time it's Spring/ Summer edition

The best time to visit Central Park in my opinion is Spring and Autumn... Although Summer is also pretty with its super lush greenery all around, the heat and humidity can be uncomfortable 🥵

Winter in Central Park, NYC!

There's something about winters in NYC where the cold really gets into your bones! It's hard to explain but if I have to compare the cold in Idaho vs NYC, NYC is definitely colder somehow🤷🏻‍♀️

No matter what you do, or who you are, people are always going to judge you.
'Oh she's posting half naked photos, she's over dresses, she not religious, she listens to "Satan's music", she has an accent, she swears too much, blah blah blah....
Well do you know what I say to that, F**K EM!

Just be yourself and forget what everyone else says because the only thing that matters is what you think of yourself. That's not to say you shouldn't stop learning and growing to be a better version of yourself because that's part of the journey, I'm saying don't hide who you are and f**k what everyone else thinks!

When I moved to NY, I felt like an outsider (I still do in this foreign country), like I had to change to fit into the fast-paced society. Everything was about success, status and materialistic things, your potical views, what car you drove, your job and education and it was very overwhelming so I kept my mouth shut and did what I had to do.
I am still trying to find my voice and take a stance but it situations in life that push you to be a stronger person and to take risks even if it feels very uncomfortable at first or impossible.

Anything is possible if you really want it so go f**king get it! 🤘🏻😁🤘🏻
