I figured a little life update was overdue after nearly a year of not posting on here! Here is a quick update on what the last year has held and what’s ahead for Sammy Jo Photo!
Last June, I found out I was pregnant with our first child. As excited as I was, that first trimester hit me like a freight train! I was sooo sick 24/7 which is what led me to disappear from social media for a while! While I wasn’t very present on social media, I most definitely was still busy with shoots! Throughout my pregnancy, I continued to photograph many of my wonderful regular clients, and even managed to photograph a wedding out of state at nearly 8 months pregnant. In February, we welcomed our sweet baby boy, Luke Everett Fisher. Becoming his mama has been the biggest blessing and the best experience of my life! It’s true what they say—having a child introduces you to a new level of love you never knew was possible! Since he was born, I have taken a break from photo sessions to focus all my attention on loving him and learning to be the best mama for him!
Now- for what’s ahead for Sammy Jo Photo. Yes, I absolutely will still be doing photography, it’s my passion and I can’t imagine my life without it! That said, in order to give the best version of myself to my husband, my child, my clients and to my full time job at St Luke’s— I will be limiting the number of sessions I take per month and will also only be booking sessions on weekends! I am looking forward to sharing more of the wonderful moments I was able to capture over the past year, as well as to capturing so many more moments and memories for clients over the next year!
