I’ve been dying to share this Idaho Elopement. Lauren and Ben reached out with the desire to elope in the Sawtooths. Naturally I was so every excited!! We hit the trailhead at 4:30 am. We gained elevation as the sun rose, and every mile was worth it. They shared vows in front of two dear friends. It was simple and honestly, and perfectly them.

Besides, the obvious things of reviewing shot list timeline locations, day of details and prepping all gear. I tried to spend the morning slow and present. I have no phones or no screen time. And When circumstances allow I try to spend as much time outside. Grounding myself in the grass or rocks. Swimming in the body of water. And if you know me, you know, I love the Wind. I like the feel of it and the sound. It helps me to be fully present and allow my body to live in the present moment. I sit in stillness. I observe all that’s around me. This particular morning. I see lots of people. Happy dogs. Kids playing. I imagine everyone is here with family and friends. Doing what’s most important in this short life we have. Building connection, memories and enjoy this beautiful earth.

Honestly this song came to mind when I thought of the energy from Allison and Cj’s wedding. In the first photo is Allison’s Aunt. And let me tell you, she is the silliest gal I’ve EVER met. I should do a story time on my moments with her.

I love this career. I freaking love people. Weddings are so fun because of the dynamic energy that’s felt.

A dinner tucked into the trees, under the glow of string lights, surrounded by the lake and the people they love most. 🤍

Molly + Gabe’s reception at their family home was the kind of setting that felt effortlessly beautiful, tables on the deck, greenery overhead, and the whole evening wrapped in that intimate, at-home feeling.

Proof that you don’t need a grand venue to create something unforgettable.
