Squirrel! They often get a bad rap! They help grow more trees by planting nuts and seeds for later and often forget about them. Their front teeth never stop growing! Their natural escape is to flee in a zig zag pattern which helps against hawks but unfortunately doesn’t work very well against cars.

Black bears in Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The mother and cubs were still in the den inside an old tree. The cubs were ready to explore but mom wasn’t quite ready for them to come out just yet. They would leave the den just a couple days after these pictures.
