I am behind on updating my work on social media!

I need to share this session baby Talan this summer with his adoring parents in their home 🩵 🏡 We also got to honor his older brother Tysen in these family photos. I was so honored meet the Hageman’s through and document Tysen with his mom and dad last summer, and it was so beautiful to see their love for him in their family continue on, especially in their family photos. 🐻 👣

Capturing moments on family vacation… I used to leave my camera at home and photograph everything with my iPhone. 📱 Thinking that I was “leaving my work” at home. My new goal is to find a new creativity in keeping my phone away, and being super intentional with the shots I take on my camera. 📸 I am loving the film look I get with my new lens that gives a nostalgic feel, and also a low profile lens that doesn’t take up a lot of room. 🦒 plus it is super fun for video shots too 🎥

Did you know that 90% of core memories for children are made while on family trips? They don’t have to be far, or even jam packed with activities. But they do need to be documented so that your family can reminisce and solidify those core memories as the years go on. 🤍

And no, this isn’t an ad. I’m just very passionate about documenting these moments and not getting burnt out and shorting your family if you do this as a living. 😉

I had such a fun month of sessions in May, one of them was a homecoming session for a group of Iowa girls returning home from a 9 month missions trip with 🌎 ✈️

Emerson’s mom contacted me to photograph their family reuniting in the airport when she got to return home. There was so much joy all around 🥹 I absolutely loved getting to document these moments for them! 📸
