The Sealed Collective

The Sealed Collective Hey there! I’m Kristen, founder of The Sealed Collective, a creative studio that combines storytelling, handmade creations, and memory preservation.
(1)

A creative studio for sentimental souls + small businesses where memories are preserved, meaningful digital experiences are created with intention, and stories are lived, felt, and shared in everyday life. I intentionally don’t niche down because I love helping small business owners share their story, running my own creative ventures, and designing keepsakes that celebrate the moments that matter

most. With over 10 years of experience in marketing, communications, and journalism, plus growing up around and working with family businesses, I bring a unique perspective on supporting local, creating meaningful work, and helping others do the same in their communities. Through The Sealed Collective, I combine this experience with handmade creations, memory preservation services, digital design, and branding, all thoughtfully connected to celebrate and share stories, ideas, and memories. Everything I do is designed to help ideas, memories, and stories feel sealed, complete, restored, and shared in a meaningful way. Our branches:

Socially Sealed | Branding, websites, social media, marketing support, and digital design for small business owners

Moments Sealed by Design | Memory preservation, handmade goods, and keepsakes

This page is for anyone who loves supporting local, meaningful design and celebrating life’s moments, whether you’re a small business owner, a creative spirit, or just here for inspiration and community. Pull up a chair, grab your favorite drink, and stay awhile! Your story is sealed and celebrated here.

💌 With love,

Kristen

👉🏼 STORIES THAT CONNECT: Behind-the-Scenes

if I were creating your content this week, I’d start with what’s already happening behind-the-scenes in your business because that’s usually where the real story is!

this week I’d look at:

• what happens before your customers arrive?
• what part of your process do people usually not see?• what small detail feels most like your business?

then I’d build content from it

🤳🏼 reel: show a real moment from your day (opening, prepping, creating, or working)
📸 carousel: walk through your process from beginning to end
✍🏼 caption: tell the story behind something people normally don’t see but makes a huge difference for you
💻 website: use behind-the-scenes photos on your about or service page to build trust and give context to your work

why it connects:

people trust what they can see and understand. behind-the-scenes content brings people into your world and helps them feel like they’re part of the process. it reminds them they’re supporting a real person, not just a product or service.

if you need more everyday content ideas from your real-life business moments that actually feel like you, follow along!

🚴🏼 COAST TO COAST 4 ALS 🚴🏼

Last week, I had the honor of meeting Rex, who is riding his bicycle 4,000 miles across America to raise awareness and funds for ALS research and care.

What started with a Facebook post turned into one of those connections that felt like it was meant to happen.

My sister has a mutual friend with Rex, and after seeing her post about his journey, my sister looked into the Coast to Coast for ALS campaign and realized he was only days away from riding through central Iowa, not far from where I live. She reached out to the team, connected us, and before long, we had plans to meet as he made his way through the state.

As someone who has built a business around preserving memories and telling stories, I was eager to hear about the people, places, and experiences Rex has encountered along the way. We ended up meeting early at Flat Tire Lounge in Madrid, Iowa, a local bicycle bar that couldn't have been a more fitting place for our visit. When a surprise downpour cut the day's ride short, we stayed indoors chatting with the locals, playing games, discussing the friendly Iowa vs. Iowa State rivalry, and talking about a disease that has personally impacted both of our lives through the people we love.

It was a reminder that stories have a way of connecting people, even when they come from completely different paths.

My mom was diagnosed with ALS in August 2025, and navigating this as a family has been challenging. Hearing Rex's story, learning about the Coast to Coast 4 ALS mission, and seeing the hope, love, and determination behind every mile was incredibly moving.

Their slogan says it best: Riding the Miles. Sharing the Stories. Transforming Lives.

Currently, this campaign has raised $330,193, and their goal is to reach $500,000 by the finish line!

If you'd like to learn more, support the mission, or follow the journey, please consider checking out Coast to Coast 4 ALS.

Their website includes a live map showing the riders' progress across the country, and I know they would love to meet and connect with people along the way!

Thank you, Rex, and Hank, the best support driver ever, for your encouragement, advocacy, listening ear, and especially for bringing awareness to a disease that affects so many families, including mine.

We are cheering you on every mile + look forward to continuing to support such an amazing cause.

With love from Iowa,

Kristen

one of my favorite parts of creating content, capturing videos, and designing websites for business owners is helping them realize they already have stories worth sharing

the moments we often think no one will care about usually are the ones that help us connect with others in relatable ways

like why you left a 9-5 to start your own business

or maybe it’s the hard season that cost you money, time, + confidence, but taught you a valuable lesson you still use today

• your story doesn’t have to be just about where you started

it’s found in the everyday moments that shape who you are + what make your business uniquely yours

👉🏼 so the next time you’re struggling with what to post, ask yourself these prompts to help you uncover your story

✨ and if you’re struggling to turn your ideas, experiences, and story into content that connects with your audience, that’s exactly what I help businesses do!
