This is simply an appreciation post. 🫶
I came out to my studio tonight to clean up after a cake smash session, rearrange everything and prepare for a maternity session tomorrow morning and another smash session tomorrow afternoon.
I stepped out of the heat and into my ice-cold studio and before I even started working, I stopped and looked around.
I thought, “Man…this is something we prayed for and worked so incredibly hard for.”
If you’re one of my OG clients, you know we didn’t always have a studio. When I first started, I only offered outdoor sessions. Then my husband turned our garage into a makeshift studio so I could offer mini sessions. After that, we turned our kids’ playroom into a studio. As the business continued to grow, we knew we would eventually have to rent a space or build something of our own.
It’s honestly mind-blowing to see how far we’ve come in just a few years.
Of all the things I’ve done, photography is truly the one thing I love with my whole heart. The studio we have today would never have been possible without all of you without you trusting me to photograph your families, children, weddings, engagements, newborns, milestones and everything in between.
I’ve had so many families in front of my lens, and I could cry thinking about how many of you continue coming back year after year. I see you out and about, and you’re not just clients you’re my people. I know you. I know your stories. I’ve watched your families grow, and that means more to me than I could ever put into words.
Tonight, I’m preparing the studio for a family getting ready to welcome another precious baby. Tomorrow afternoon, I’ll photograph the first birthday of a sweet little girl whose parents trusted me to capture their wedding. Being invited back for every new chapter is something I will never take for granted.
This studio didn’t come easily. It took years of hard work, long days, late nights and so many wonderful clients trusting me and continuing to show up.
So from the bottom of my heart thank you. Thank you for choosing me, trusting me and allowing me to capture the moments that matter most to you. I truly appreciate every single one of you.
Fall is coming, even if it doesn’t feel like it outside yet! My schedule is getting busier by the minute, and I cannot wait to see everyone throughout the fall and Christmas seasons.
I’m feeling extra grateful tonight. Thank you for helping make this dream possible. 🤍📸
