Just a little over a year ago I got married. I knew I loved him, what I didn’t know was how much love really does continue to grow. How we laugh at the same stuff no one else gets, how finishing each others sentences is just now what we do, and, how we would rather be together than anywhere else. Husband has a whole new meaning to me, and it’s quite simply, him.

MLK Jr day, to me, is a day to reflect - on self, and, on society. I wonder if I have measured up to his dream? Have we? Do his messages of love, equality, humanity, and drive have the same meaning and impact today that they did 57 years ago? If not, when we reflect, can we find what in his words still have meaning and find a path to love, peace and acceptance?
